It has been quite the journey. A selfish one, as I only continued with it just to prove I had it in me. And I am forever grateful it has morphed into something I can truly be proud of. The short film Suit & Bone has brought me on many highs and lows. I conceptualised and brought forth into a shared reality through script, storyboard, direction, edit and some VFX. To see it all well-received and acknowledged has been the greatest part of this journey.

Don’t get me wrong it did come with a lot of no’s, ignored emails and dismissals. However, the yes’s and the defiance ultimately won out in the end.

The reception has been nothing short of phenomenal re: this short. Making the official selection in several film fests in America, the UK, Europe and Asia, racking up W’s in several categories. Everything from Honorable Mentions, Semi Finalists, Finalist and Best Film. I have to, once again, thank the cast–Shanika, Hugo, Joerg–for their continued support and coming through to lend their talents to this short. And I have to thank the crew that gave their all to bring this short to fruition.
